I was amazed at your cool July temperature average of 64F. I don't suppose you would like the high of 92F we got up to today!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732676481099375924.post-71093020625976449232011-07-08T10:00:03.399-07:002011-07-08T10:00:03.399-07:00I adore poppies. It's lovely when flowers do that and you end up with things which you didn't expect.Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17436932004631816039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732676481099375924.post-91276993657002920192011-07-04T21:14:19.416-07:002011-07-04T21:14:19.416-07:00Hi Kelli, I agree with Egretta..a very appropriate...Hi Kelli, I agree with Egretta..a very appropriate blog topic for July 4th ;) You perennial garden with the poppies, roses, foxglove and others is so lush and cheerful! I enjoyed Mark's comment too...as it does seem that poppies don't follow directions well at times, although, yours are gorgeous and mindful :)Rainy Day Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06139202327960366363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732676481099375924.post-53487758683904221622011-07-04T13:01:27.548-07:002011-07-04T13:01:27.548-07:00Hmm. If there is some piece of waste ground available, poppies would much rather grow there than in a nice tidy flowerbed!Mark Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04558305122821209520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-732676481099375924.post-18365541085373801492011-07-04T12:48:39.027-07:002011-07-04T12:48:39.027-07:00Kelli, I love your poppies. The photos are nice, too, especially the close up of the white one. That photo is really stunning! It's Independence Day here and lots of times veterans sell little paper poppies to help veterans and remember them for keeping our freedom! So your post is very appropriate for today.Egretta Wells bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15410663977991054877noreply@blogger.com
