Water water everywhere...

I had six burst pipes over the holidays (boo hoo) so most of my spare time has been cleaning and clearing (four rooms plus hallway affected). The big dehydrating machines are on as I blog. All is under control and I'm lucky compared to the horrible floods happening in Australia.
Did you know...
BBC Newsline reports that December 2010 in Northern Ireland was:
  • the coldest December on record
  • the average temperature was -0.6C
  • the first sub-zero month since 1963
  • the sunniest December on record.
Looking forward to getting out into the garden soon!

  1. How is it I have this feeling that we're going to get a drought this Summer???
I like your photo of the flowing water. Capturing movement on photo is difficult.
Hope you had some good home insurance to help with repairs and cleanup!

  2. I do hope the clean up and repairs are going along nicely and soon things will be back to normal. Such a shame, but like you said, it could have been worse. I hope your weather stays moderate now!!

  5. I know that Northern Ireland has had it bad this year. How awful to have so much damage, I hope the clean up operation is going well.
