Here's a little snapshot of my garden. Click on photos to enlarge. It's a little bit country - not too far from Belfast. |
Here are my neighbours; they're very friendly....
...and sometimes a little cheeky!
This is Jammie; she does circus tricks (high rope; jumping, etc).
It's very relaxing in the country - highly recommended!
There are two large sycamore trees at the back of the house.
Pictured is an old unused coal bunker. Many areas of the garden are still a work in progress. I often mix veg in with other plants. In this border you may spot leeks, spring onion and potatoes.
I enjoy growing potatoes....
...and other easy to grow veg (often mixed with other plants). This is spring onion/chives with sunflowers grown from seed and potatoes - all a bit too close together but it worked!
A veg box was added in 2011 to expand on edibles grown from seed. Pictured above: cabbage, celery, two varieties of kale and perpetual spinach.
Containers are a great way to grow vegetables such as carrots, parsnip, leeks, spings onion/chives, herbs, salads, rocket, etc. Even potatoes grow great in containers.

I love growing flowers too. These lupin were grown from seed a few years ago and they put on a great show every Summer.
This is Dodger. Him and his sister Jammie were unwanted & now they have a happy home. The conservatory comes in handy in Spring to propagate seed.
It gets a little cold in Winter. Not too bad, snow 2 or 3 times each year.
I love snow!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
