1st Snow

Last night we had our first dusting of snow - as I was putting up Christmas decorations! So pretty. Bring on the hats, scarves, gloves and hot chocolate!

The roses are still producing. The Malope Excelsior Mixed, (Hardy Annual) are still being productive (I need to deadhead!). They don't seem to be too bothered by the light frost we've had so far.

Happy December
in the Garden!

  2. Happy December to gardens indeed! The image looks so pretty with the roses and snow. We had our first covering here too, all white, with brilliant sunshine this morning. Feeling quite festive!

  3. You beat us to it then. We haven't had any snow yet, but it's probably not far off. Only 2 degrees C above zero here today.
Snow is all very well when you don't have to travel, but I get around a fair bit in my job, and snow makes things too complicated. :(

  4. Your garden looks so pretty with the snow! We are waiting for things to heat up in Melbourne but no sign yet, still very cool.

  5. Amazing what a few white flakes can do. Here in Canada we are still white-stuff-free, although we did have a good coat a couple of weeks back.

  6. We had a little snow flurry this morning but it didn't last long and didn't lay. The pavements were slippy though when I took the dog for his walk. Thank you for entering my giveaway.

  7. So pretty! I miss playing with snow. But we don't have snow here in Adelaide. Not even much rain here.

  8. What fun to see the white stuff! Your house and gardens look so pretty. Isn't it fun how snow just does that to everything? Happy December Kelli!

  9. Perfect timing I'd say.
I don't think there's a hope we'll have snow for Christmas in Melbourne....{sigh}...never say never though.
We did have a hailstones shower last year though that had hailstones as big as golf balls so you never know :?

  10. Snow! I don't know why I'm so surprised. Enjoy it while you're drinking your hot chocolate!

  11. The first snow!I saw a bit too much in Minnesota and that might last me for several years!! It does make it rather Christmasy though.

  12. A nice bit of snow to get in the holiday spirit. We always make a big deal about a White Christmas here; frankly I'd rather have mild weather. Enjoy the color that you have left.

  13. Hi Kelli!

I believe you are my first blog buddy from Ireland. Thanks for stopping by!

I live in the So California desert area of Palm Springs/Palm Desert. I will not be seeing snow on my backyard but I do get to see it in the mountains from my patio!
