Happy Holidays

The gardening can wait.... there's baking to do!

I've been baking cookies for weeks and giving them to friends and family.
Needless to say I've been eating too many, and have already put on a few extra pounds! My New Year resolution will include eating healthier, lots of outdoor walks, and of course lots of gardening!
Whether you're baking or being healthy,
hope you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday period!
Some of the baking supplies!

Sugar cookies (Betty Crocker recipe) with icing made from icing/confectioner's sugar with a drop of vanilla essence and tiny bit of water and coloured with food colouring.

These are yummy! Sugar cookies decorated with melted chocolate, mini pretzel antlers and gummy noses.

The healthier option (?) - pretzels covered in dark chocolate and crushed candy cane, or pretzels covered in white chocolate and a walnut.

  1. Looks scrumptious Kelli! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and looking forward to catching up on the blog in the new year!

  2. You have certainly put your artistic flair to good use there, Kelli! Wishing you a Happy Christmas, and all the best for 2016.

  3. You have been busy. I have slowed down on the baking just for that reason: I tend to eat too much of it. We use the same sugar cookie recipe, I think. The best one. No gardening here. Snow on the ground. Merry Christmas.

  4. Your cookies do really look delicious and funny. The chocolate covered cookies look lovely. I surely should eat too many of them......
    Wish you a Merry Christmas!

  5. It all looks very productive, have a Happy Christmas.

  6. Well they certainly look delicious! It is for that very reason that I did not bake anything this year. My knee replacement surgery in October caused me to lose some weight, and I didn't want to undo my progress! It's been very odd, because I always bake up a storm. Maybe next year!

  7. Wow...your cookies look fabulous!
    Happy New Year!
